Invoker Skill Test: Measure Speed, Reaction and Accuracy

Use the browser trainer as a repeatable benchmark for all ten Invoker spell recipes. Separate raw completion speed from recognition and accuracy instead of treating every run as the same kind of test.

What the Invoker skill test measures

The site separates several mechanical skills instead of reducing everything to one number. Classic measures the time needed to complete all ten unique spell prompts. Reaction measures recognition plus execution after a short random wait. Accuracy measures how often an Invoke attempt matches the requested spell.

Classic: a complete ten-spell benchmark

Classic shuffles all ten Invoker spells and shows each exactly once. The timer begins on your first orb input and stops on the final correct Invoke. Because every spell is included, one run checks the full recipe set rather than a random sample.

The existing leaderboard remains tied to Classic. That makes Classic the mode to use when you want a comparable score rather than open-ended practice.

Reaction: recognition before execution

Reaction uses the same ten unique spells, but each prompt appears after a short random delay. The measured response includes recognising the target and entering the required orb recipe. It is therefore an Invoker-specific response benchmark, not a laboratory test of raw human reaction time.

How accuracy is calculated

Every press of Invoke counts as an attempt. A correct Invoke increases both the correct-cast count and the attempt count; a wrong Invoke increases only the attempt count. Accuracy is therefore correct casts divided by total Invoke attempts.

There is no separate +1 second penalty for a mistake. The mistake is visible through lower accuracy while the clock continues naturally.

How to compare two runs fairly

  1. Use the same mode.
  2. Compare runs only after completing the intended session.
  3. Read time together with accuracy.
  4. For Reaction, compare average response across the full ten prompts rather than only the single best prompt.
  5. Use several runs before deciding that your execution has improved.

Current Classic ranks

The trainer maps Classic completion time to six visual ranks: Grandmaster at 6 seconds or faster, Master at 8 seconds or faster, Platinum at 12 seconds or faster, Gold at 15 seconds or faster, Silver at 20 seconds or faster, and Bronze above 20 seconds. These ranks are site-specific training labels, not official Dota 2 ranks.

Use the test as a training loop

If the result shows that one or two recipes cause hesitation, switch to Practice and select those spells only. If accuracy falls during longer sessions, use Endless or the 60 Second mode to work on consistent execution. Return to Classic after the weak point is stable.
